The Good News Version in Yoruba Language. Bibeli Iroyin Ayo offers a Yoruba translation that is accurate, easy to read and understand.
There are two ways in which the Iroyin Ayo Bible is different from the Yoruba Bible that we use today.
In the first way, this Bible is translated in modern day Yoruba language, which we speak every day, at home, outside, at work, and at work. This makes reading easy to understand.
On the other hand, the New Testament was translated from the Greek language, and the Old Testament was translated from the Hebrew language. There are differences in the way these languages put their words together to make each sentence, and how Yoruba puts words together before they become words that have meaning, therefore, The meaning of each word is taken from these languages and translated into proper Yoruba.
The reason we did this is because we want the readers of the Bible to hear what the speakers of the Bible would have said, if it was the Yoruba language that we speak today that they were speaking when they spoke at that time.
The Bible Society of Nigeria made this Bible translation program, for the use of all Yoruba speakers in Nigeria and many other countries around Nigeria.
